Introducing Ask the Rabbi — a new Q&A channel built right into the Beita community app. Synagogue members can now send halachic questions directly from their phone, and the community's rabbi gets notified and answers personally — no automated assistant, and no computer-generated answers.

How does it work?

You'll find a new tab in the community app called Ask the Rabbi. Write your question and choose a category (Shabbat and holiday laws, kashrut, prayer, blessings, and more) and the rabbi gets an instant notification and answers when he has time. If the rabbi chooses to publish an answer to the public feed, the asker's details stay anonymous.

What kind of questions can I ask?

The feature is designed for everyday halachic questions — Shabbat and holiday laws, kashrut, prayer and synagogue practice, blessings, festivals and customs, mourning and celebrations, and more. For urgent or especially complex questions, it's still best to contact your community rabbi directly.

Availability

Ask the Rabbi is available to communities that have enabled the module in the rabbi settings, with a limit of up to 5 questions per day per user. Answers arrive at the rabbi's own pace — usually within a day or two, not instantly. We keep improving the feature based on community feedback, and we'd love to hear from you.
