What to expect

Setup day — less dramatic than you think

Most synagogues go from zero to fully operational in 1–2 working days. Here's the exact timeline of what happens.

Signup is currently in Hebrew — our team will gladly walk you through it in English.

Before you start

What you need ready

Just 4 things. No technical training, no outside contractor.

Wi-Fi at the synagogue

Any regular Wi-Fi works. No need for a dedicated line or special infrastructure.

Smart TV (or regular + streamer)

Any TV with Android TV / Fire TV / Apple TV. Old TV? A $40 stick does the job.

One person, one hour

Someone (gabbai / secretary / Rabbi) to set times, member list and opening messages.

Member list

Excel works great. Paper-only? We'll add them together over the phone.

The day itself

Hour-by-hour timeline

From a real synagogue that went through it. You can go at your own pace.

1

9:00 — Email invite

Receive an email with your personal login link. One click — account open.

2

9:15 — Prayer times

Fill in 'sunrise', 'shacharit', 'mincha', 'maariv' as you observe them. Beita calculates the halachic offsets.

3

9:45 — Upload members

Excel import (open format, just names and phones) or manual entry from your phone.

4

10:30 — Add yahrzeits

If you have a list — it loads the same way. If not, we'll add the first 5–10 together.

5

11:00 — Connect the display

Install the Beita app on the Smart TV. Scan the QR shown in the admin panel. Within 2 minutes the TV shows your synagogue.

6

11:30 — First design

Choose a layout, background color, logo. Beita suggests a layout based on your nusach.

7

12:00 — First message

"Hello, we're now on Beita. Download the app." — within 8 minutes, half the community is signed up.

8

12:30 — Onboarding call (25 min)

Zoom meeting with our team. Review open questions, see features you missed, get a task list for the next week.

9

Day 2 — First shiur / announcement

From this day on you're flying on your own. Questions? In-app chat is answered within an hour.

In four hours we went from a blank screen to a TV the whole shul watches. The board was speechless.
