Why a community app

A living link between members and the synagogue

One message reaches every member. A built-in siddur, halacha guidance and prayer times — without digging through WhatsApp groups.

Real-time push notifications

Send one message and it reaches every member's phone in a second. Automatic quiet on Shabbat and chag, personal quiet hours, and targeted groups by role.

Digital siddur by nusach

Shacharit, Mincha, Maariv, Tehillim and Birkat HaMazon — with support for Ashkenaz, Sfard, Edot HaMizrach and Teiman. Choose once, then daven comfortably from your phone.

Ask the Rabbi — halachic Q&A

Send halachic questions from the app, in English or Hebrew. Your community's rabbi answers from a dedicated questions board — source-based and grounded in your community's customs.

Messages for the whole community

One message — reaches everyone.

No more crowded WhatsApp groups, no phone calls. Send an update from the dashboard and it shows up in every member's app within seconds.

  • Send to the whole community or to role-based groups (gabbaim, board members, congregants)
  • Schedule ahead — a message for Erev Shabbat? Set it on Sunday
  • Automatic quiet on Shabbat and chag, plus personal quiet hours for every member
Siddur & learning

A siddur in your pocket, a daily learning habit.

Every tefillah, a full Torah library and daily learning tracks — all from the phone, even when there's no internet.

  • A complete siddur in Ashkenaz, Sfard, Edot HaMizrach and Teiman nusach
  • Tanach, Mishnah, Talmud and Halacha — a full Torah library
  • Daf Yomi, daily Mishnah and Rambam Yomi — with a learning-streak tracker
Ask the Rabbi & family area

A halacha question? Ask your rabbi from the app.

Halachic Q&A answered by your community's rabbi, plus a personal area that manages the whole family from one account — yahrzeit reminders, nusach preferences and Shabbat quiet.

  • Send halachic questions any time, in English or Hebrew — your rabbi answers with sources
  • Automatic yahrzeit reminders for every family member
  • One profile for the whole family — parents, children, grandparents

FAQ

What people ask us about the app

How do members download the app?
Search "Beita" in the app store (App Store or Google Play) — it supports both iOS and Android. The download is free for community members, and joining the synagogue is done with a code received from the gabbai or by scanning a QR.
Do you support different nuschaot (Ashkenaz / Sfard / Teiman)?
Yes. The built-in siddur supports Ashkenaz, Sfard, Edot HaMizrach and Teiman. Halachic prayer times are calculated automatically from the synagogue's location, and local customs can be adjusted in the dashboard.
How do notifications work on Shabbat and chag?
The app automatically enters quiet mode as Shabbat or chag comes in, based on the community's location. Pre-scheduled messages wait and are sent only after the chag ends. Each member can also set personal quiet hours.
Who answers "Ask the Rabbi" questions?
Your community's own rabbi. Members send halachic questions from the app — in English or Hebrew — and the rabbi answers from a dedicated questions board in the dashboard, with sources and your community's customs in mind. It's a direct channel to your rabbi, not an AI chatbot.
Is personal data protected?
Yes. All data is stored on Google Cloud infrastructure with SSL encryption. Only the gabbai and role-holders can see the community directory. We don't share data with third parties, and you own your data — you can export or delete it at any time.
