Accessibility statement for the Beita website and products
Beita views accessibility as a core value. We are working to make the website and our core products meet Level AA of the WCAG 2.1 standard, in accordance with Israel's Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Accessibility Adjustments for Service) Regulations, 5773-2013.

We are working toward compliance of this website (beita.co.il) and the admin dashboard (admin.beita.co.il) with the WCAG 2.1 Level AA standard, as defined in Regulation 35178 (a regulation under the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Regulations — Accessibility Adjustments for Service), and we continuously improve.
Accessibility toolbar
An accessibility button (a round, blue icon) appears in the bottom-right corner of every page on the site and on the donation portal. Clicking it opens a menu with:
- Text size — 100% / 115% / 130% / 150%.
- High contrast — switches to a black background, yellow text, and white links.
- Link emphasis — underlines every link on the site.
- Stop animations — disables motion transitions and animations across the whole page.
- Reset — returns to the default settings with a single click.
Your settings are saved locally in your browser and carry over between pages on the site. You can close the menu with the Esc key or by clicking outside it.
Additional accessibility features
- A skip-to-content link at the top of every page, hidden until it receives focus (Tab).
- Full keyboard navigation — every action is accessible without a mouse.
- Visible focus rings on buttons, links, and forms.
- AA-level color contrast (4.5:1 for regular text, 3:1 for large text) in the default design.
- ARIA labels on icons, forms, and status updates.
- Support for prefers-reduced-motion — disables animations for users who have requested reduced motion at the operating-system level.
- Alt text on every meaningful image. Decorative mockups are marked aria-hidden.
- Full RTL support — screen-reader support for Hebrew, and correct directionality across all components.
Limitations
Despite our efforts, some components may not yet be fully accessible:
- Digital display screens (TVs in the synagogue) are designed to be viewed from a distance and are not integrated with screen readers. They are a companion to, not a replacement for, the app/admin dashboard.
- Content uploaded by customers (event photos, publications) — it is the customer's responsibility to make this content accessible (we recommend it, but we cannot enforce it).
- Historical PDF files — some from 2020 onward are not automatically made accessible; if you need an accessible PDF, please contact us.
