How to create an event

Creating a new event

Go to the admin dashboard and click "Events" in the side menu, then click "New event." Fill in the basic details: event name, date and time, location (you can choose from the synagogue's different halls), and a short description. You can also upload a photo or poster for the event, which will appear in the invitations.

Sending invitations

After creating the event, click "Send invitations" and choose your audience: all community members, a specific group, or individual members. The invitation is sent as a push notification in the app, and you can also add delivery by email or SMS. Every invitation includes "I'm coming" and "Not coming" buttons, so you'll know exactly how many people to expect.

Managing registration and limiting capacity

For an event with a limited number of seats (for example, a meal with 100 seats), you can set an attendee cap. Once the list fills up, new registrants are added to a waiting list. You can see in real time who has confirmed, declined, or is waiting — and download the list to Excel with one click.

Automatic reminders

The system automatically sends a reminder to everyone who confirmed attendance — one day before the event and two hours before the event. This reduces last-minute cancellations and makes sure everyone remembers. You can adjust the reminder timing in the event settings.
