Managing your community member list is the foundation for everything your synagogue communicates. Once you have an organized list with contact details, yahrzeit dates and group assignments, you can send targeted messages, generate reports and run your community professionally. On Beita, member management happens right from the admin dashboard, in a simple, intuitive interface.

The system supports importing members from an existing Excel file, so if you already have an old list, you don't need to retype everything. Just upload the file and the system automatically matches the columns for you.

1

Adding new members

Open the admin dashboard and click Members in the side menu. Click Add member and fill in the details: full name, phone, email, address and date of birth. You can also add custom fields — for example, a fixed seat number or a role in the synagogue (gabbai, baal koreh, chazan).

2

Managing yahrzeit dates

For each member you can add the yahrzeit dates of family members. The system automatically calculates the Hebrew date and sends the member a reminder before the yahrzeit. On top of that, the names of the departed appear automatically on the digital display screen on the day of the yahrzeit — so you never have to update the screen by hand.

3

Groups and filtering

Organize members into groups by whatever criteria make sense for you: the Shacharit minyan, the Maariv minyan, the Daf Yomi shiur, the synagogue board, and so on. A member can belong to several groups at the same time. Groups let you send targeted messages only to the people they're relevant to.

4

Exporting lists and reports

At any time you can export the member list to an Excel or PDF file. The export includes all the fields you selected — useful for preparing donor lists, board reports, or simply backing up your data.
